Like Bashing Your Head on the Wall

So, I am working on getting our HP-UX server talking nice with active directory. I have been digging all week and finally find what looks like a solution and I am getting ready to implement and Boom! The one feature I need is not on the HP-UX version on CIFS. From the digging I have done I see that a fair amount of the time CIFS and winbind are implemented to allow AD permissions in nested groups to resolve on a samba server but nesting is about the only feature HP-UX shut off. Why, I ask, why????

Now, I am looking for ways to get around nested groups and well I ask what is going on with POSIX.  It is like moving back in time for UNIX to windows support. Anyhow, I just needed to get that out so there you go.

Please note I am not speaking on behalf of my employer or HP in this post it is just a frusterated rant of mine that I am sure will subside if you just walk away and avoid eye contact.
